The
truck containing Carli, Gordon, and their charges roared down the street. It drove straight to the base’s main
administration building located dead center of the base. The vehicle squalled to a stop, making the
people in the back lurch. Carli
immediately called back to Gordon.
“You’re in command of this group
now, Gordon.”
