Chapter 29
Alex came to Colwyn’s closed bedroom
door at four in the morning. With a
mixture of gratitude and apprehension, she saw that his light shone under the
door. She raised her hand and hesitated. Though she felt sure she’d come to terms with
what she must do, it didn’t make it any easier.
If she hadn’t been damned before, she surely would be in the next few
minutes.
