Deep
shadows filled the halls of the Rock.
Night had fallen outside, and all save but one of the inhabitants
slept.
Renee surveyed her
surroundings, clear now that the glare of the lamps had been turned down. Her feet hung well off the end of the twin
beds she'd pushed together.
