As
Lena Lasham neared her father’s office in the funeral home, she heard his voice
rise in frustrated anger behind the closed door. Next came her mother’s voice, a little
quieter but no less heated. Though she
couldn’t make out the words, the tall 24-year old could well imagine what the
argument was about … the same damned thing it was always about.
She
stopped outside the oak paneled door, debating on whether or not to
interrupt.
