Chapter 26
Lilith and Naamah stepped into the
hospital and blinked at the bluish-green light that filled the lobby, making it
seem almost as if they’d stepped into an aquarium. After being under the black night sky for
almost an hour, the fluorescents stung Lilith’s eyes. As she stood still and adjusted to the glare,
she consulted her senses for the presence of other demonkind.
“There are no halflings here.”
